🧚🏾 An Ode to Anabel Rose 🧚🏾
This woman keeps amazing me with her talent, work ethic and dedication to her craft. I’ve had the privilege of working with Anabel on two past projects1 and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with her again on my upcoming album, 27 in Accra Town.
In my time as a music producer, I’ve never come across anyone who consistently delivers quality and beautiful work when called upon. I hope that in bringing 27 in Accra Town to life, I’m able to do my part in growing her legend.
What I love most about her work is how effortlessly she commands/uses her powerful voice - with its diverse range - to beautifully channel raw emotion into any musical project. She sings with supreme mastery and genuine honesty. To top it all off, she’s also a gifted songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and boss-level producer in her own right!!!
So far on 27 in Accra Town, we’ve worked on three songs (4 Miles Freestyle, Heaven and Moonlight Sobolo) and luckily, for Heaven and Moonlight Sobolo, we were able to work on those songs together at the same time and place!! 🤩🥳 (this is a big deal for us because in the past few years, we’ve mostly had to work virtually across different time zones! 🕠 🌍 🕢)
During our session, she showed me some unreleased material she’s been working on over the past year - a few of which she performed in the above video. Some of her material gave man real goosebumps chale! 🤯
